Coaster Collector Advertiser Terms & Conditions

Last updated October 23, 2026

1. Parties and definitions

These Advertiser Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between Coaster Collector ("Coaster Collector", "we", "us"), and the person or business named in the Offer (the "Advertiser", "you"). Coaster Collector operates the website and app at coastercollector.com (the "Site").

1.1 Definitions.

  • "Offer": the invitation we send to you by email, with a private link, to advertise on the Site.

  • "Deal Sheet": the part of the Offer that lists the Ad Placements, the Run Dates, the Fee and any note from us.

  • "Ad Placements": the places on the Site where an ad can appear, as named on the Deal Sheet (for example, "Feed, between entries").

  • "Run Dates": the first and last day your ad is scheduled to run.

  • "Creative": the Banner and Square images, the click-through web address, the alt text and any other material you supply for your ad.

  • "Agreement": these Terms, the Deal Sheet and any note in the Offer, together.

  • "Fee": the price stated on the Deal Sheet, which may be a stated amount, or free of charge.

  • "Users": people who visit or use the Site.

1.2 Who may accept. You confirm that you are at least 18, that you have authority to bind the business named as the Advertiser, and that you are accepting for that business.

1.3 Order of precedence. If the Deal Sheet conflicts with these Terms, the Deal Sheet controls for that Offer only.

2. The Offer and how you accept it

2.1 The Offer. An Offer is personal to the email address it was sent to and cannot be transferred. It stays open until the date stated in it, or in our email, and we may withdraw it at any time before you accept.

2.2 Acceptance. You accept by signing in to an account that uses the email address the Offer was sent to, typing your full name, and ticking the box that says you agree. The Agreement is formed when you accept.

2.3 Electronic signature. You agree that typing your name and ticking the box is your legal signature, and that this has the same effect as a handwritten signature. You agree to do business electronically and to receive records of this Agreement by email.

2.4 Our record. When you accept, we keep your typed name, the date and time, your IP address and browser details, and an exact copy of these Terms and the Deal Sheet as they stood. We email a copy to you and to ourselves. If we change these Terms later, the version you accepted continues to apply to that Offer.

2.5 Your account. You are responsible for what happens under the account you use to accept and to send your Creative. Keep your sign-in details private.

2.6 Offers that end. If an Offer expires or is withdrawn before you accept it, no Agreement exists. An Offer that has been accepted can only end as set out in Section 9.

3. Ad placements, scheduling and no guarantees

3.1 What we provide. We will display your approved Creative in the Ad Placements named on the Deal Sheet during the Run Dates, as part of the Site's normal rotation. Where a placement holds more than one ad, ads take turns, and how long each stays on screen is set by us.

3.2 Formats. The Site shows a Banner (728 × 90 pixels) or a Square (300 × 300 pixels) depending on the placement and the User's device. You must supply both. We show the version that suits each placement and screen.

3.3 Rotation and shared placements. Placements are shared. Unless the Deal Sheet says a placement is exclusive to you, we do not promise that your ad is the only one in it, or how often, in what order or position it is shown.

3.4 No guaranteed results. We do not promise any number of views, clicks, sales or other results. Traffic to the Site varies. A shortfall in views or clicks is not a breach and does not entitle you to a refund, unless the Deal Sheet states a guaranteed minimum.

3.5 Who sees ads. Some Users do not see ads, for example Users with an ad-free account or who have ads switched off, and we may switch ads off on the Site or in a placement at any time. We will not charge for any period in which your ad could not run because of a decision of ours (see Section 9.5).

3.6 Changes to the Site. We may redesign the Site, rename or move pages and change what a placement looks like. If a placement you booked no longer exists, we will offer a comparable placement or end that part of the Agreement and credit or refund the unused part of the Fee.

3.7 Availability. The Site is provided without a promise of uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages and events outside our control may stop your ad from showing for a time.

4. Creative, review and approval

4.1 What you supply. After you accept, you send your Creative through the page we give you: a Banner and a Square picture at the exact sizes shown there, a web address (starting with https://) where a click should lead, and a short text description of each picture for people who use screen readers. You are responsible for making sure your Creative is complete and accurate.

4.2 Technical rules. Pictures must be in the formats and at the sizes the page accepts. We may resize, compress or crop Creative to fit, and we may reject files that do not meet the rules.

4.3 Review before anything runs. A person at Coaster Collector reviews your Creative and its web address before it is shown. Nothing runs until we approve it. We may approve it, or send it back with a note saying what to change, and you may then send new Creative.

4.4 Our discretion. We may refuse or send back any Creative at our sole discretion, including if it breaks Section 5, if the destination web address is unsafe, broken or misleading, or if it does not match the business named in the Agreement. Our approval is not a statement that your Creative is lawful or accurate, and it does not reduce your responsibility for it.

4.5 Deadlines. To run on the first Run Date, your Creative must be sent in and approved before then. We will review it promptly, but we are not responsible for a delay caused by late or unsuitable Creative. Run Dates are not extended for time lost this way unless we agree in writing.

4.6 Changes after approval. If you want to change approved Creative or the web address, tell us. A change goes through review again, and we may take the earlier version down while we do.

4.7 Web address. The web address you give must lead to a page that matches your ad. You must not change what is on that page in a way that makes your ad misleading, harmful or in breach of Section 5 while the ad runs.

5. Content standards

The Site is for a general audience that includes teenagers aged 13 and over. Your Creative, and the page it leads to, must be suitable for that audience.

5.1 You must not advertise or show:

  • tobacco, vaping or nicotine products, or alcohol [counsel to confirm whether alcohol is allowed];

  • gambling, betting, sweepstakes or lotteries [counsel to confirm];

  • adult or sexually suggestive content, violence, hate speech or harassment;

  • weapons, illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia;

  • political parties, candidates or campaigns, or issue advocacy [counsel to confirm];

  • anything false, misleading or deceptive, including fake claims, fake prices or hidden conditions;

  • anything that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;

  • malware, scams, phishing, or pages that try to collect personal data under false pretences;

  • anything that is unlawful, or that promotes unlawful activity.

5.2 Honest and clearly an ad. Your ad must not pretend to be content from Coaster Collector, a ride review, a User comment, a notification or a system message. It must not imitate how the Site looks so that it is mistaken for part of the Site. We may add a label such as "Ad" or "Sponsored".

5.3 Legal compliance. You are responsible for making sure your ad and your business follow all laws that apply, including advertising, consumer protection, endorsement and disclosure rules (for example, the rules on disclosing paid endorsements and sponsored content), data protection, and any rules about advertising to young people.

5.4 Accessibility. You must give accurate text descriptions for your pictures, and not rely on motion or sound alone to carry your message. Video is not accepted unless we agree to it in writing.

5.5 No tracking beyond what we allow. Your Creative and web address must not set cookies, load third-party trackers or collect data from Users through the ad itself on the Site. Your own website, once a User chooses to click through to it, is your responsibility. A web address may include ordinary campaign tags (for example, UTM tags).

5.6 Our judgement. We decide whether Creative meets this Section. We may update this list from time to time by changing these Terms for future Offers, and we may refuse or remove any Creative that we reasonably believe harms Users, the Site or our reputation.

6. License, ownership and your promises

6.1 Ownership. You keep all rights in your Creative, your name, your logos and your brand. We keep all rights in the Site, its design, its software and its content. Nothing in the Agreement transfers ownership of either.

6.2 License to us. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, resize, compress, display and serve your Creative, and to use your business name, for the purpose of running your ad and showing it to you in your report during the Run Dates and for a reasonable time afterwards to keep records. This license ends when we have removed the ad, except for records we must keep.

6.3 Your promises. You promise that:

  • you own your Creative or have all the rights and permissions needed to give us the license in 6.2, including for any people, music, trademarks or photographs in it;

  • your Creative and web address are true, accurate and lawful, and follow Section 5;

  • anyone shown in your Creative has given consent to be shown;

  • the information you gave us in accepting the Offer is true; and

  • you will follow all laws that apply to you, your ad and the goods or services it promotes.

6.4 Feedback. If you give us ideas or suggestions about the Site, we may use them freely and without any duty to you.

6.5 Our marks. You may not use the Coaster Collector name or logo, or say or suggest that we endorse you, other than as set out in Section 11.

7. Fees, invoicing and taxes

7.1 The Fee. The Fee is the price stated on the Deal Sheet. If the Deal Sheet says there is no charge, no Fee is due, but the rest of the Agreement still applies.

7.2 No payment on the Site. You do not pay through the Site. We will invoice you separately, using the contact details in the Offer, or not if this agreement is made separately between Coaster Collector and the Advertiser.

7.3 Payment terms. Unless the invoice says otherwise, you must pay each invoice within [PAYMENT TERMS] days of its date, in the currency stated on it, by the method stated on it, without deduction or set-off.

7.4 Late payment. If you do not pay on time, we may charge [LATE FEE rate, if any] on the overdue amount, pause or remove your ad until you pay, and recover reasonable costs of collection. Unpaid fees are not refunded when we remove an ad for non-payment.

7.5 Taxes. The Fee does not include taxes. You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added or similar taxes that apply, other than taxes on our income. We will show any taxes we must collect on the invoice.

7.6 Refunds. Fees are not refundable except as stated in Section 9 or on the Deal Sheet.

7.7 Disputes. If you dispute an invoice, tell us in writing or via email within 14 days of its date, say what you dispute and why, and pay the part that is not in dispute. We will work with you in good faith to resolve it.

8. Reporting, measurement and privacy

8.1 Our reporting. We count how many times your ad is shown (views) and clicked, by day, using our own systems and without cookies. You can see these totals and a daily list on your agreement page once your ad has been approved, and we may email you a summary when the run ends.

8.2 How numbers are counted. Our numbers are the only measure used in the Agreement. They may differ from numbers kept by you or by third parties, and we may remove traffic we reasonably believe is automated or not genuine. We do not promise that our counts are free of error.

8.3 What we collect from you. To run the Agreement, we keep your name, email address, business name, the details of your Offer and acceptance, your Creative and your invoices. We use this to run your ad, to contact you, to keep records and to meet legal duties. See our Privacy Policy at [LINK] for how we handle personal information.

8.4 What we do not give you. We do not give advertisers any personal information about Users. Reports show totals only. You must not try to identify individual Users from the Site or to collect their information through your ad.

8.5 Your own data practices. If a User clicks your ad and visits your website, what happens there is between you and that User. You are responsible for your own privacy notice and for following data protection laws, including any rules about children and teenagers.

8.6 Records. We may keep a copy of the Agreement, the Creative and the report for as long as the law or our records policy requires, even after you leave the Site or delete your account.

9. Term, changes, cancellation and removal

9.1 Term. The Agreement starts when you accept the Offer and continues until the last Run Date, unless it ends sooner under this Section. It does not renew on its own. A new run needs a new Offer.

9.2 Changes to the deal. The Deal Sheet cannot be changed after you accept except by a new Offer or by a written change we both agree to.

9.3 Cancelling by you. You may cancel before the first Run Date by emailing [NOTICES EMAIL]. [If you cancel more than [7] days before the first Run Date, no Fee is due. After that, the Fee for the cancelled run remains due unless we agree otherwise.] Once your ad is running, you may ask us to stop it, but the Fee for the whole run remains due unless we agree otherwise.

9.4 Taking back an Offer or removing an ad. We may take back an Offer before you accept it. After you accept, we may pause or remove your ad, and end the Agreement, at any time if:

  • you breach the Agreement and do not fix it within 14 days of our notice (or at once if it cannot be fixed);

  • your Creative or web address breaks Section 5, or we reasonably believe it is harmful, unlawful or misleading;

  • we receive a credible complaint about your ad from a User, a park, or a rights holder;

  • you do not pay an invoice when due; or

  • the law, a court or a regulator requires it.

We will tell you by email where we can. If we remove your ad under this Section, we are not required to refund any Fee already paid, except where the removal was not caused by you or your Creative.

9.5 Ending for our reasons. We may end the Agreement if we close the Site or stop offering advertising, or if we cannot run your ad for reasons within our control. If we do so, or if your ad is removed for a reason not caused by you, we will refund or credit the part of the Fee for the days your ad did not run.

9.6 Effect of ending. When the Agreement ends, we remove your ad from the Site. Sections 5, 6, 8.6, 10, 11, 12 and any unpaid obligations continue after the Agreement ends.

10. Disclaimers, liability and indemnity

10.1 No warranties. The Site and our advertising service are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of reports and uninterrupted or error-free service. We make no promise about the number or quality of Users who will see your ad.

10.2 Limit on liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or loss of goodwill, however caused and whatever the legal theory, even if we were told they were possible.

10.3 Cap. Our total liability to you for all claims about the Agreement is limited to the lesser of (a) the Fees you actually paid to us under the Offer in question, and (b) [LIABILITY CAP]. [If no Fee was paid, our liability is limited to [$100].]

10.4 What these limits do not cover. Nothing in the Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. [Counsel to check this carve-out against local law.]

10.5 Your indemnity. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Coaster Collector, its owners, officers, employees, contractors and affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your Creative or the page it leads to; (b) your breach of the Agreement or of any law; (c) any claim that your Creative infringes another person's rights; or (d) the goods, services or offers you advertise, including any dealings between you and a User.

10.6 Process. We will tell you promptly of any claim you must cover, let you control its defence (but not settle it in a way that binds us without our written consent), and give you reasonable help at your cost.

10.7 Dealings with Users. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a User, and we are not responsible for your goods, services, promises or offers.

11. Independence, non-affiliation and publicity

11.1 We are an independent fan site. Coaster Collector is an independent project for theme park fans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any theme park, resort, ride maker or their owners, and advertising on the Site does not make you, or us, a partner of any of them.

11.2 Park names and marks. Your Creative must not use the names, logos, characters, photographs or other marks of any theme park or park operator in a way that suggests it is endorsed by, sponsored by or connected with them, unless you own the rights or have written permission, which you must show us if we ask. [Counsel to confirm how strict this should be.]

11.3 No endorsement from us. Running your ad is not a recommendation, rating or endorsement of you or your products by Coaster Collector, and you must not say or suggest it is.

11.4 Editorial independence. Advertising does not affect our ratings, rankings, badges, lists, blog posts or any other content on the Site. We do not take instructions from advertisers about content.

11.5 Naming you. Unless you tell us in writing not to, we may state that you advertise or have advertised with us, using your business name only (not your logo), for example in a list of advertisers or in our own marketing. You may not issue a public statement about the Agreement that names us without our written approval.

11.6 Independent parties. You and we are independent businesses. The Agreement does not create a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship.

12. General terms

12.1 Governing law. The Agreement is governed by the laws of Florida, U.S., without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

12.2 Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address in the Offer or by a message in your account. You may give notice to us by email to [email protected]. A notice by email counts as received on the day it is sent, unless the sender gets a failure message.

12.3 Changes to these Terms. We may change these Terms for future Offers by posting a new version on the Site. A change does not affect an Agreement you have already accepted.

12.4 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer the Agreement without our written consent. We may assign it to a successor of the Site or its business.

12.5 Events outside our control. Neither of us is in breach for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, other than a duty to pay money already due.

12.6 If part is unenforceable. If a court finds part of the Agreement unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is changed only as much as is needed to make it enforceable.

12.7 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

12.8 Entire agreement. The Agreement is the whole agreement between us about its subject. It replaces earlier emails, quotes and discussions about it. Your own terms or purchase order terms do not apply, even if you send them.

12.9 Counterparts and copies. A copy of the Agreement in electronic form, including our stored record of your acceptance, is as valid as an original.

12.10 Contact. Questions about these Terms: [email protected]. Last updated: 10-23-2026.
